If a dog were your teacher
These are some of the lessons you might learn...
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face
to be pure ecstasy
When it's in your best interest
practice obedience
Let others know when they've invaded your territory
Take naps and stretch before rising
Run romp and play daily
Thrive on attention and let people touch you
Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do
On warm days stop to lie on your back on the grass
On hot days drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree
When you're happy dance around and wag your entire body
No matter how often you're scolded
don't buy into the guilt thing and pout
run right back and make friends
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm
Stop when you have had enough
Be loyal
Never pretend to be something you're not
If what you want lies buried
dig until you find it
When someone is having a bad day
be silent .....
...sit close by.
...and nuzzle them gently.

DRY IN RAIN
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in, "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said. "What?" Mom asked.
"Let's run through the rain!" She repeated.
"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated, "Mom, let's run through the rain."
"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.
"This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?"
"Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!'"
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
"Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If God let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said.
Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories... So, don't forget to make time and take opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.
I hope you still take the time to run through the rain.

RELATION CALLED FRIENDSHIP…..A BIG QUESTION MARK…????
I am really in a big dilemma and already I have spent around 21 years on this earth and couldn’t make out “What is Friendship?”. I always ask myself Does anything like friendship exist?. To remove my confusion I thought may be Google will be the best solution. But I think it increased my confusion to a level which I can’t even describe. Google said “Friendship is a feeling of comfort and emotional safety with a person. It is when you do not have to weigh your thoughts and measure words, before keeping it forth before your friend. It is when someone knows you better than yourself and assures to be your side in every emotional crisis. It is when you can sleep fighting and get another morning with a better understanding. Friendship is much beyond roaming together and sharing good moments, it is when someone comes to rescue you from the worst phase of life. Friendship is eternal. To experience what is friendship, one must have true friends”.
I couldn’t bear it any more and decided not to read further. Then I started to think of people whom I met in the last 21 years of my life. I know that my experience in this area is quite bitter. As a name sake I have MANY friends who really help me out, who are really somewhat concerned for me, whom I THINK I can rely on(I JUST THINK). . I don’t think I have friends whom I can really call “A FRIEND” who can match the Google definition. But somehow I managed to include a few actually a very few names in this list.
I am not at all in a mood to criticize Google for this definition may be there will be people who are lucky enough to have some special people in their lives whom they can call friends. But for me the description of a friend goes as follows:
Because of so many bitter experiences: For me the definition of a friend is somewhat different which I would like to share. For me a friend is obviously a person but he/she is a imaginary or fictitious kind of person whom you think you have whenever you need or is there to share your joys and sorrows but really don’t exist. You’ll always be in a disbelief that far from home you have someone to help you out. But surely whenever you are in a problem or cannot make out what to do next that is your are in a situation of dilemma you will be helped by only your family and only those are the group of people who are meant for you.
I remember how I ignore my father’s words when he says “yeh dost-vost kuch nhi hote”. Actually I have started to realize that this is true the day I left my home for hostel. But finally today something happened which drove my mind towards this and I have realized that papa ki baat mein dum toh h. There are always people whom you THINK they are your friends.
I have almost stopped believing in this relation or I must say I am still in search of a true friend.
